UI/UX & product design

Research, flows and interface design that arrive as a system engineers can build from directly, not a set of static mockups that quietly falls apart the moment someone has to code it.

Designs that cannot survive being built

The usual failure is a beautiful set of screens that assumes every name is short, every list has four items and nothing is ever loading, empty or broken. Engineers then improvise those states, and the product that ships looks nothing like the file that was signed off. The second failure is drift: no shared components, so every screen invents its own button and the interface slowly becomes inconsistent.

We research the problem, wireframe the flows, and design a system your engineers can build from directly, not a static mockup that falls apart in production.

What you get

  • User research and flow mapping
  • High-fidelity UI design in Figma
  • Component-level design system
  • Developer handoff and QA support

How a design engagement runs

01

Understand the job first

We talk to the people who will actually use it and map what they are trying to get done. For internal tools this usually means watching someone do the task in their current system, which surfaces more in an hour than a workshop does in a day.

02

Flows before pixels

We map the paths through the product and agree them while they are still cheap to change. Rearranging a flow in a diagram takes minutes. Rearranging it in built screens takes a sprint.

03

Design the hard states

Loading, empty, error, permission denied, long text, no results. These are most of what a real user meets and most of what design files omit. We specify them, so engineering does not have to guess.

04

Deliver a component system

Not a folder of screens, but a set of reusable components with their variants and rules, mapped to how they will be built in code. New screens after we leave still look like the product.

How we work

  • Figma
  • User research and interviews
  • Flow and journey mapping
  • Component-level design system
  • Interactive prototypes
  • Developer handoff and build QA
  • Accessibility checks

FAQ

Yes, design-only projects are normal and usually run 4 days to 2 weeks. You get the Figma file, the component system and a handover session with whoever is building it. We will also review the build once it exists, which is where most of the value in a handover actually lands.

Yes, full edit access to the file and the component library, transferred to your Figma organisation at the end. It is your design system, not a preview of one.

We work inside it. Existing brand guidelines, colours and typography become the constraints for the interface system. Where a brand palette fails accessibility contrast in a UI context, which is common with brands designed for print, we will flag it and propose an accessible variant rather than ship something unreadable.
